Koper Water Polo Club hosted the first Adriatic Water Polo League tournament of the 2025/26 season on 18 and 19 October 2025. The home team played two matches with mixed results.

In Saturday's clash Hanna Koper convincingly beat Calcit Water Polo 18:12. The team took control from the opening minutes and held the lead throughout with strong defence and efficient attack, showing solid pre-tournament form.
Sunday: Hanna Koper — VK Ljubljana Slovan 13:16
In Sunday's game Hanna Koper narrowly lost to VK Ljubljana Slovan 13:16. Despite a battling display the team lost focus in the key moments while the opponent capitalised on superior match fitness.
Head coach Blaž Ćeklić: "I'm pleased with the play. The result wasn't the best, but we saw a lot of positives. Experiences like these are invaluable for preparing the team for the next AWL tournaments."
